CLINIC REVIEW
Harris Hair clinic Hair transplants
Harris Hair is one of the UK’s most popular and reliable clinics. Harris Hair takes one of our top spots as a hair transplant clinic by promoting their services as trusted advisors, not just to sell their hair transplant surgery, but to provide realistic and honest results for you.
The Harris Hair Transplant group abides by the phrase, “good medicine is all about getting good advice”, and so they will be transparent when it comes to choosing the best hair recovery treatment for you.
The Harris Hair Transplant is a subsidiary of “Harris Surgical Limited”, registered with Companies House UK under registration number 08173772. The leading hair transplant surgeon at the Harris Hair Transplant is Mr. Harris Haseeb, who is one of the few NHS plastic surgeons performing hair transplants in the UK.
Dr. Harris qualified in 1988 and then joined as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1993, training as a plastic surgeon. Dr. Harris was inspired by the treatment of the Burns Victims and pivoted his career into hair transplant surgery, having performed his first hair transplant in 1996. Since then, Dr. Harris has performed over 4,000 procedures.

Offered Procedures
Hair transplants involve taking hair from a donor area, usually at the back of a patient’s head, and transplanted into the area of need. Advancements in medicine and technology have allowed hair transplants to transform from the original flaps and hair plugs to more conventional Follicular Unit Transplantations and Follicular Unit Extractions.
Both of these have their own set of advantages and disadvantages, and so both of these procedures are offered at the Harris Hair Transplant Clinic.
- FUT – This technique involves extracting a strip of graft follicles from the donor area, which is then closed using dissolvable stitches. You are then left with a linear scar. The hair follicles on the extracted strip are then removed under a microscope, separated into single or double strands as necessary, and then re-implanted into the transplant area using tiny excisions.
- FUE – The FUE method is more commonly used as it produces less scarring, however, it is longer than the FUT. This technique involves the extraction of individual donor follicles from the donor area which are then placed in a sterile plasma solution. These follicles are then implanted similarly to the FUT method, using tiny incisions.
These are the only two hair transplant procedures offered at this clinic. However, there are also non-surgical options and medications that can be prescribed by Dr. Harris.

Treated Hairloss Symptoms
When born, human beings typically have around 10,000 hair follicles. Around 40% of men will begin losing their hair by the time they hit their 40s, and this number increases with age.
Hair loss can occur as a result of a variety of symptoms, most of which can be treated at the Harris Hair Transplant Clinic. The conditions and symptoms of hair loss which can be treated at this clinic are:
Male Pattern Baldness – Any hair loss that occurs as a result of androgenetic alopecia, or male pattern baldness, can be treated at the Harris Hair Transplant clinic. Male pattern baldness can lead to balding in various areas around the head such as your scalp, crown, temple, and cause a receding hairline. All of these areas can be treated using hair transplanted by either the FUE or FUT method.
Female Pattern Baldness – Up to 30% of females can experience balding at any point throughout their lifetime. There are multiple factors that can lead to this, but most commonly it is caused by female pattern baldness. Female pattern baldness sees similar trends in hair loss to men, but females tend to have thinner hair around their center-parting which is categorized on the Ludwig Scale. Female Pattern Baldness can be treated at any stage of the Ludwig Scale at the Harris Hair Transplant clinic using FUE and FUT methods.
The transplanting process
The hair transplant process at the Harris Hair Transplant clinic follows a strict set of rules to ensure that you are both mentally and physically prepared for your procedure.
The first step involves a preoperative procedure by which you have to first arrange and attend an initial consultation with Dr. Harris in order to identify the stage of balding you are at according to the Norwood or Ludwig scales, your family, and medical history, and the realistic results for you.
Once happy, Dr. Harris will quote you a price depending on the number of grafts he believes he will need for the procedure and offer you some preoperative advice to follow that includes;
- Stopping any anticoagulant or blood-thinning medications (once ok-ed by your doctor)
- Not getting a haircut prior
- Ensuring you are in good health
At the first consultation you will be asked about the history of your hair loss, family history et. al.
Once satisfied, you will arrive at the clinic on the day of your procedure where Dr. Harris will choose the transplant method best suited for you and give you any realistic expectations of any sensations during the procedure. You will also be given a local anesthetic to ease any pain or discomfort, and even be offered a sedative if you feel overly anxious about the procedure.
Once the procedure is complete, Dr. Harris and his team of highly qualified nurses will give you the advice to follow in order to ensure your transplant is healthy and produces effective results. You will be given a list of side effects, risks, and complications that may arise such as swelling and infection, and also be given a follow-up date.
With all going well, you should expect visible results 6 months to 1 year after your procedure. In the initial weeks after your procedure, you may experience some hair follicle loss which is completely normal, as well as any swelling or redness. If you feel that there is more pain than normal, please contact the clinic as soon as you can.
Cost And Pricing
Hair transplant pricing is often difficult if a clinic or surgery does not offer hair transplant packages. This is because hair transplants vary from person to person, and so your hair transplant may cost more or less than the previous clients.
With that being said, the Harris Hair Transplant clinic does not offer any direct prices on their website, and so you will be given a quote on your hair transplant once your initial consultation with Dr. Harris has been carried out. The clinic truly believes in providing honest and realistic quotes, and so a quote cannot be given until you have been assessed.

5000 transplantat | 53500 SEK / $5700 | 238600 SEK | $30,000 |
The cost of a hair transplant can be quite steep, especially if its a severe case of hairloss and the procedure is done in Britain.
