Offered Procedures

The Follicular unit extraction (FUE) transplant is the primary hair transplant treatment available at the Asmed Clinic.

They do perform the FUT, but FUE transplants are preferred over FUT transplants in most cases. The FUT transplant necessitates the removal of an entire strip of the scalp, which results in noticeable scarring. The FUE method does not need the excision of a strip of follicles since the hair follicles are removed individually.

The Clinic also perform some speciality methods such as U-FUE, DHI and Body to hair transplants. One speciality of The Asmed clinic is to repair botched hair transplants. If you have a hair transplant or scar that need repair, the clinic will help you out in this regard.

Treated Hairloss Symptoms

At this clinic, lots of symtoms of hair loss are treated. However while there may be other variants treated, these are the ones confirmed as of now:

We all know the importance of brows! So many people desperately turn to facial tattooing without them, but what could be better than a brow transplant?

This condition occurs as a result of chemical imbalances with the hormone Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). As a result, male pattern baldness causes hair loss in the front, crown, temples, and even your hairline recession, all of which can be treated by Dr. Erdogan FUE transplants. The hair loss that occurs is then classified on the Norwood Scale, which is graded from 1-7.

Alopecia barbae is an auto-immune disease that causes bald patches to appear on a beard or mustache. Luckily The FUE treatment at the Asmed clinic can help improve that surgically.

Our hair might become less and less as we dance through the years, leaving more bald spots. In women, this usually starts happening in their 50’s. Fear not, ladies, the days of wearing hats and scarves to cover up are over. An essential FAU treatment will give you the confidence boost that you need.

The transplanting process

Before you can get your perfect hair transplant, there are some steps to follow to ensure the process is as smooth as possible. The general procedure at the Asmed clinic includes the following:

General examination and tests

A general health examination and blood test will be performed to ensure that the patient is fit and capable of undergoing such a surgery. To determine the severity of male pattern baldness, they use the Norwood scale.

Meeting with the surgeon and determining the number of grafts.

The procedure will begin with a meeting and a hair examination by the surgeon. At this point, you might be wondering, “How many hair transplants do I need?” First, the surgeon will calculate the number of transplants required to fill up the bald spots. Next, the surgeon will discuss and design the frontal hairline to match the patient’s face.

At the first consultation you will be asked about the history of your hair loss, family history et. al.

Preparing Donor area for Hair Transplant surgery

The donor region must be cleansed and prepped by shaving off the hair before the hair transplant operation. One of your surgery’s medical staff will do this procedure. After this procedure is completed, a local anesthetic will be administered to the donor region.

Extracting follicles from the donor area.

The follicles will be extracted from the donor region using a micro punch instrument and maintained in a specific solution until they are transferred into the recipient area.

 Preparing the Recipient area

The surgeon will create a series of small incisions in the recipient region, through which the removed follicles will be implanted later using a specific small and sharp hair transplant tool called KEEP (Koray Erdogan Embedding Placer). Depending on the number of grafts, this procedure might take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours.

Planting the extracted follicles

The grafts will be placed one by one into the incisions with a unique instrument until all of the follicles have been planted in the locations as planned before the surgery. The region will then be cleansed and bandaged in preparation for recovery. During the initial phases, the staff may offer breaks to ensure that the patient is comfortable and calm.

 Rehabilitation

After completing the preceding stages, the patient is free to depart and return home to rest until the next session following the procedure. The patient should avoid strenuous physical activity and rest. The doctor will prescribe the required prescription like painkillers, etc. Patients will receive instructions on how to care for their newly planted grafts and how to wash their hair so that it does not hurt the grafts and ensure that the treatment is entirely effective. It should take no more than 9 months to a year to observe the complete outcomes.

Cost And Pricing

Asmed Hair Transplant Center is one of the more expensive clinics in Turkey and charges 2,5 euros (or £2,10) per graft.

The 2,5 Euro per graft price does include the following however:

Financing options at the Asmed Clinic are available. Patients that would like to discuss financing options should do so before arranging their hair transplant.
